Abstract:

To conclude, the object and goals of diplomacy can be defined as follows: diplomacy is the art of leading negotiations and concluding them between states.

The existing reason of diplomacy, the valuable meaning of the diplomatic act is that of being an instrument of accomplishing the foreign affair policy of a state.

Thus the main functions of diplomacy are those of negociation, representation and protection of the rights and interests of the respective states, for the accomplishment of their external policy.

By serving the state's specific interests, diplomacy is also a vital field for the international relations, serving them and ensuring the peaceful functioning of the interstate reports.
