Objectives:

1. To attract the academic staff in the activity of scientific research at the level of the departments, to add value to the research by didactic publications and to disseminate the results of the research on the occasion of national and international scientific manifestations.

2. To develop in students the habits specific to research, in view of acquiring  a better qualification, in agreement with the job market.

3. To promote suggestions regarding criteria of differentiated wages for the staff based on the results of the scientific research.

4. To inform the staff and the students with regard to the scientific research opportunities, via the university site. The website will also contain the information provided by the National Council of Scientific Research in the Higher Education System.

5. Participation to grants and programs of national research, alongside valuable specialists from famous universities in the country.

6. Participation to international research programs, in collaboration with professors, researchers, specialists from foreign universities.

7. Publication of the results of the research (studies, articles, reviews) in The Scientific Bulletin of UMK.

8. To stimulate the participation of students to programs of scientific research, under the supervision of the academic staff.

9. To purchase continuously the latest books in the field and to increase the patrimony of the University Library.

10. To ensure subscriptions to specialty publications from the country and from abroad.

11. Publication of research results in well-known magazines from the country and from abroad.

12. The review – within each department – of each work (lecture, treaty, monograph) which is to be published.
