MISSION

   “Mihail Kogalniceanu” University is the first private university in Moldavia, founded in 1990 and accredited by Law 137/2005, with license and master studies within the Faculty of Law, including the specializations: Law, Communication and Public Relations, International Relations and European Studies.

    The mission of our university is to contribute to the progress of knowledge, through our didactic and research activities, to promote the values of a free and pluralist academic education and to contribute to the progress of the Romanian society by forming competitive specialists.

    After 1990, we have assumed this mission and created a sound alternative to the public higher education, in parallel with the development of cooperation relationships with state or private education and research institutions, from Iasi or other academic centers of the country. At the same time, “Mihail Kogalniceanu” University has developed a strong international dimension by means of a powerful scientific activity of our professors and through the cooperation with famous foreign universities.

    We consider the student as our partner in the educational process and we promote an open-to-dialogue and participative background, with regard to curricular aspects as well as to other fields of interest for the students. “Mihail Kogalniceanu” University will remain a dynamic entity, adapted to the changes in the Romanian society, including those in the labor market, by inserting the professionals’ experience in the academic activity.

    We are a university of Iasi. We try to honor the intellectual tradition of Moldavia’s cultural capital through our academic endeavors and we are an active partner in the development projects of Iasi and of the whole region.
