CALL FOR PAPERS The Annual International Conference of „Mihail Kogalniceanu” University Universality Multidisciplinarity Knowledge IASI (Romania) 25-26 May 2012 We are honored to invite you to take part to the 20th annual scientific manifestation organized by “Mihail Kogalniceanu” University from Iasi. If, until not long ago, this took the form of a scientific session, it evolved later to a National Conference with International Participation and, courtesy of a large participation and a high level of the papers presented – both in the section dedicated to the International Round Table and in the regular sessions – it has come to merit the title of International Conference. This year theme covers research areas which are specific to our university and which have attracted over the years well-known specialists from the country and from abroad, due to the high level of the debates and the quality of the articles.
Francophone International Round Table14th EditionThe jurisprudence of jurisdictional authorities – a source of law? The Francophone Center of Constitutional Law within “Mihail Kogalniceanu” University from Iasi, in collaboration with the Romanian Association of Constitutional Law, organizes at Iasi, on May 25-26, 2012, the Round Table on LA JURISPRUDENCE DES AUTORITES JURISDICTIONNELLES, where the following aspects will be debated: 1. “Judicial power” and “jurisdictional authority”. Clarification of concepts. 2. The sources of law the national judge is held responsible for. 3. The legal nature of the jurisprudence of courts in the Common Law states. 4. The jurisprudence of courts from states belonging to the Romano-German system, as an indirect source of law 5. The value as source of law of the jurisprudence of Supreme Courts 6. The values as source of law of the jurisprudence of the European Court for Human Rights 7. The value as source of law of the jurisprudence of the European Union Court of Justice 9. “Internationalization” of law? Prof. PhD. Genoveva VRABIE, President of the Romanian Association of Constitutional Law and Director of the Francophone Center of Constitutional Law, will address the issue of the clarifying the concepts of “pouvoir judiciaire” and “autorités judiciaire”. |

Activitatea de cercetare din Universitatea “Mihail Kogalniceanu” se desfasoara in cadrul catedrelor si colectivelor, in cadrul Centrului Francofon de Drept Constitutional, a Cercurilor stiintifice studentesti. Valorificarea cercetarii se realizeaza prin Conferinta internationala a UMK, Sesiunea Stiintifica anuala a UMK, prin Masa rotunda internationala a Centrului Francofon de Drept Constitutional. De asemenea, in luna decembrie a fiecarui an, odata cu Zilele Universitatii “Mihail Kogalniceanu”, se organizeaza Sesiunea stiintifica studenteasca, iar in luna aprilie, Concursul studentesc de procese simulate.
Publicatiile editate de UMK, prin Editura Cugetarea, sunt Volumul Mesei rotunde internationale si Buletinul Stiintific al UMK, publicatie cotata de CNCSIS cu indicativul B+ si indexata in baze de date internationale.
